Chronicles of Judah 144 on YouTube Growing by Dispelling Media Myths

I was looking for real discussion on Lebron James alleged steroid or PED usage and I stumbled upon this video:

Chronicles of Judah 144 is the channel and the commentary was completely different than I was accustomed to: intelligent, backed by available facts and evidence, and sharply decisive (no hedging).

I checked out a few more videos and was similarly impressed by the commentary.

The channel is broadly rooted in sports but also covers political, social, and cultural topics.

Typically the publisher, known as Chronicles in the comment section, will record a talk show or news segment and then pause the video and “chime in” with his thoughts after key parts.

Now anybody can do this – and a lot of people do – but the key difference is Chronicles is extremely intelligent and well educated and is able to see through various perpetrations by mass media, institutions, and groups.

The level of knowledge displayed is incredible. I suspect Chronicles may have a photographic memory because he is obviously well read and seemingly remembers everything.

The channel’s growth has been staggering.

YouTube has Chronicles as starting on Joined Aug 18, 2016.

Thus far his videos have 5,190,609 total views with the above Lebron James video at over 50k.

He also has 16,230 devoted subscribers (I say devoted because he now uploads his videos in the early Monday mornings and most have at least a thousand views almost instantly).

What’s admirable is Chronicles hasn’t used his YouTube platform for commercial gain. Rather he does it to educate and empower the “so called black man.”

Maybe he’ll eventually make some money off it. I hope so. I think he deserves to garner some revenue for all of the time and energy he devotes.

Edit: He does have a Patreon channel:

Even though I am not his target audience, I find the videos compelling, if for no other reason than he discusses things that won’t be touched by any platform.

For example, Bill Simmons will only allude to Lebron James alleged steroid usage, he’ll touch it with a 10 foot pole but then immediately run away scared. Obviously, Chronicles will go into it.

As you might guess by the name, ChroniclesofJudah144 is religious but the videos aren’t overtly dominated by religion. I’m non-religious but I still find the videos entertaining.

As one critique, I would say the publisher overreaches and/or oversimplifies in some of his conclusions (eg MMA was created for white masculinity). I disagree with some of his assertions and core beliefs but that doesn’t takeaway from the quality of work that goes into the videos.

You could also challenge many of Chronicles conclusions with religious underpinnings. The basic point being that scripture, the foundation of many of his arguments, is flawed in its ambiguity, contradiction, adaption over time, uncertain origins, etc.

But, by and large, the channel is enjoyable and provides a unique perspective, one that is rarely shared.

For example, I loved his Lobster Poison video:

You won’t see that on any news piece!

Honesty and candor from an educated, intelligent source is refreshing to me.

One misconception that runs rampant through the internet is that disagreement = bad content. You don’t have to espouse any of the same beliefs to like a media figure. I enjoy candor, unique prospective, and educated POVs even if I 100% disagree.

One problem I foresee is the channel being taken down. Chronicles is spilling way too many inconvenient truths that affect billion dollar industries.

It would be very easy for a mass media company like ESPN or CNN to claim copyright infringement and have most of the videos wiped out.

For anyone looking to make money off YouTube, Chronicles provides a great blueprint to success: upload quality, authentic content consistently and people will eventually start watching.

  1. I just found this channel. I am a female, and I should NOT like this channel as much as goes IN on the “liberal Black female”, however like you I just CAN”T stop watching because he lays it out pretty definitively and such hard core truths that it makes you WANT to listen and try to hear him out and understand his P.O.V. and perhaps soul search and question personal long assumed ideologies, professions and assumptions. For example, his video on Dwayne Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union as a guest on the sports show, touting her book: “We’re Going to Need More Wine”. explore woman/rebellion and the Liberal Woman and the realities of ageing and social climbing, fame etc…Like you said, whether you disagree or not it does cause one to think about these related issues and home “talking heads” and high profilers espouse certain ideologies and current assumptions.

  2. CofJ, is actually coming from a “black” Moses perspective akin to that of the black Muslim brotherhoods in that his target is imo (as he sees it) black american males who are exploited, marginalised, disaffected and in the main, un-educated or unaware.
His position on black/women in general is pathetic, ill-informed, archaic and by today’s standards, anachronistic
According to him, women aren’t to be trusted morally, are intellectually witless and need ‘leading’ by intellectually and morally superior males.
As an afterthought , during the war, women slotted into men’s roles in industry and other businesses with no problems at all.
As stated, he knows certain things but can come across as intellectually pompous with very little real understanding of why we humans are as we are.

  3. I recently mentioned this channel as one of my favorites. I have binged on all of his content. He’s too real and honest for modern softies.

  4. The videos are insightful per good research, and entertaining sometimes with his commentaries.
However his anger and resentment of successful people and his use of vulgar language inspite of his strong so called understand of the bible leads me to believe that he sees himself as a failure and uses this platform to feel important.
Calling people names and assuming that every successful black man is a Pansexual and devolves in debauchery or witchcraft is an excuse for not having the capacity to be objective without emotions on full display.
Brothers know the source and the mental acuity of a poster; Sisters you’re beautiful and invaluable; things happen, It’s called living!

  5. Chroniclers is basically the Michael Savage of sports entertainment. He can effortlessly draw conclusions between religion, sports, culture, etc and tie it all together.

  6. Interesting to see @jamie gallacher, a caucasian male, comment when he says multiple times over the course of his videos that his videos are specifically not meant for him. So lets reiterate. His videos are not for you therefore your opinion on them are inconsequential.

  7. Lone Voice, are you going to dispute anything Jamie Gallacher said or just go Ad-Hominem? All Judah says is that his videos are “geared towards the so-called black man.” Anyone can listen. Judah is entertaining but Gallahers critique is spot on. Judah speaks confidently about things he knows nothing about but he weaves sophisticated vocab into his vids so plebes think he is brilliant lol. That is the Judah formula. He has almost no evidence for any of his assertions. I can tell you are a part of the growing Judah cult of people who get upset when folks criticize your leader.

  8. I’ve only stumbled upon this Gentleman’s channel a couple of months ago and I wish I’d had this voice in my ear from birth…(a black woman)😉

  9. @ Lone Voice, are u Judah lol. That sentence was structured the way the man speaks.

Anyways, I have been watching his videos for a year now, and as a young man myself, my perspective on life had vastly changed, for the better of course. Very blessed to have come across this channel, saved me from years of bad decisions, made me more interested in general history/knowledge, and made me more focused and goal-oriented in life.

..Also expanded my vocabulary, and is motivating me to improve my ability to publicly speak and express my thoughts coherently.

His sports commentary (85% of his channel) is also very well done. The best out there, not lying.

Judah, if ur reading this, I just wanna express my thanks. pce

  10. I’m a so called black man from Angola (Southern West Africa). This channel changed my perspective of life, he touches on several topics that affects the so called black man all over the world. I feel sorry for some of you black Americans, you are so far behind on understanding your cultures. Well before I came across this channels, I challenged Americans that worked with me: ”do you actually believe you all come from Africa as slaves?”. The one is very accuarate is the spiritual battles in this world, a lot of pagan rituals, people do not want to listen because they used these style of life. Also he talks about men re-instating their position of leadership in society and help/guide woman. Thanks for sharing ideas and knowledge (Chronicles of Judah). Bernardo Caneco – Angola

  11. I like to watch and listen to videos this brother puts out. As with anything or anyone some people are not going to agree. As he has said do your research just do not take his word for it.

  12. Great channel.Definitely gonna give it the highest mark.People in US are so screwed with feminism and degenerate lifestyles. He gives similar perspective of life as some other prominent speakers in Serbia he is on point -You gotta respect yourself as a man so you can lead your family and society to better future

  13. I enjoyed the videos and commentary. It is a good practice to use discernment in all opinions, advice and etc.

  14. @ jamie gallacher. You betray your own dreadful superiority complex however well disguised within inane non sequitur.
First. Your ‘analysis’ of “CofJ’s” standpoint and target audience; congratulations on “stating the bleedin obvious” as they say in England. Sadly it must be said, your standpoint is likewise obvious, viz your natural superiority allows you to merely to discard “CofJ” by throwing him into your “Guantanamo” along with Muslims whom you similarly despise it seems, all without one wit of actual refutation of a specific argument put by “CofJ”.

Second. You further enlighten us with the observation that archaic viewpoints are anachronistic with respect to today! That gave me another belly laugh in the bleedin obvious category. However, just stating sound-bite-wise what “CofJ” has intimated about some “black/women” [your phrase] does not amount to anything. Rather you would have to refute him with your own arguments on specific issues. In particular I suggest you would have to properly refute one of his central theses; that “so-called-black” women are slowly killing themselves mentally and spiritually by falling prey to “today’s standard” liberal mind-set.

Turd, sorry third. Your statement about the war is argumentum ad ignorantiam. I mean, how do you know that “no problems at all” were created by women moving into what were traditionally male jobs? Especially given that (for example), a significant proportion of the very next generation after the war fell into a drug fueled craze in the 1960’s. Further, how much did this war time upheaval in family life actually contribute to producing today’s comparatively degenerate lifestyles? Now wait a minute, before you exalt “today’s standards”; can we agree that teenage alcohol abuse across the western world is inter alia, an example of degeneracy from say the standards of 1945.

Your pride in “today’s standards” with which you seek to beat “CofJ” into the sands of time, may actually be a little problematic. Indeed I surmise that your “standards” are not beating “CofJ” at all, but are instead beating the so-called-black women that you pretend to defend. You seem to be defending an ideology but not actual people, I find that sad.
But hey what the heck? So long as your standards are so utterly wise and magnificent that you don’t even have to actually engage with “CofJ’s” observations which appear to me to be based on studying real people, and not just his bible.

Last. You have actually written about yourself rather than your protagonist in your last sentence, such hypocrisy is both archaic and current but will never be anachronistic.
